oh I'm so so sorry! I haven't taken it out of the cupboard again and it completely slipped my mind. It's the up down dial to the right of where you open to change the stitch discs (If you look on that diagram above). If you have that centre switch thingy pulled down it should reverse feed. Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll have another look!

Oooo... it's nice. Your pup is happy to just roll on it, not chew it? Our Lola thinks rugs are for playing with/ chewing on, and I suspect the temptation would be even stronger with a rug made of animal (nyom nyom). It's the only thing that puts me off getting one.

I had imagined it would have felt different to leather shoes, belts or bags — but I think the only reason why that is is because it's in an animal shaped piece, rather than cut and sewn into small things to hide what it used to be. I never thought I'd be someone who wore fake nails but I'm so used to them and now i love them. I first tried them a couple of years ago and they felt so awkward though!
Yes, try red. Navy is still my favourite but it's fun to have someone elses hands for a week :-)

Ooh yes - I read your blog, it's really cool. I was like you - had no idea they had such a following - but now I have one I know why!
They do make a gorgeous sound, they remind me of a steam train or an expensive car - so smooth!

I totally know where you're coming from. I try and avoid meat and when I do I only eat free-range but then I can't stop lusting over taxidermy. :-s. Are we awful? (probably)

Guilty, guilty not-so-secret: I am an on-again, off-again vegetarian... and even in my staunchest meat-free days I still adore cowhides. I think they're FAB. I prefer the paler browns, or the brown and white patches.

(I also adore taxidermied animal-heads-on-a-plaque... so far my meat-lovin' partner is refusing to give in to my longing to have one over the fireplace).
